Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League launches ten-day campaign for promotion of Iqbal’s thought

Minhaj ul Quran Youth League will celebrate first ten days of November for the promotion and projection of Iqbal’s thought. It would hold seminars in the major cities of Pakistan in this regard. The central seminar would be held on the topic of “Iqbal’s Eagle and Today’s Pakistan” on November 8, in which social and political personalities would participate. On the 9th of November, which is also Iqbal’s birthday, a high-ranking delegation of MYL would lay floral wreath at the shrine of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal.

These views were expressed by Baber Mahmood Chaudhry during his speech to the meeting of the Executive Council. Secretary General Sanaullah Tahiri, Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Ijaz Ahmad Warriach, Ch Amjad Hussain Jutt, and Tayyab Zia were also present on the occasion.

Baber Chaudhry said that Allama Iqbal is a mentor and a guide of not only Pakistan but also of entire Muslim Umma. The Poet of the East conveyed the message of intellectual freedom and self-respect. He wanted to see the youth in the role of an eagle who is ready to take on the contemporary challenges in a proactive manner. He said that the youth was the pivot around which the thought of Iqbal revolved. “The only solution to get the country out of its present-day predicaments is to convey the message of Iqbal to our youth. If his teachings are followed even today, we can cope with the challenges that are facing us today, he added.

Baber Chaudhry said that MYL is busy communicating Iqbal’s message to the youth under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the launching of ten-day campaign is a case in point. He said that the major problem being faced by the youth is the absence of guidance because the country does not have effective and credible leadership which could come forward to guide our people out of our raging crises. He said that we can bring about changes both at personal and individual levels by acting upon the teachings of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal.
