The government’s ineffective and pro-elite policies have affected all segments of society adversely. The farmers among are the worst-hit as they face a twin challenge of reduce water flows and hike in the prices of input products. The neglect of agricultural sector by the government has brought this all-important pillar of national economy to a brink of destruction.
