Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri describes arrest of Altaf Hussain as worrying

Expressing his concern on the arrest of MQM leader Altaf Hussain, Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has described the resulting situation in Karachi and Hyderabad as worrying. He appealed to the people of Karachi and Hyderabad to remain peaceful. He said that Altaf Hussain is the leader of one of the biggest political and parliamentary parties in the country. He said that the United Kingdom stands for rule of law, supremacy of justice and protection of human rights, hoping that these standards would be maintained and lived up to in case of Altaf Hussain. He said that the MQI leader should get an opportunity to defend his position in accordance with principles of natural justice and fair play.
