Khurram Nawaz Gandapur calls on Punjab Governor for treatment of Muhammad Sultan

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and discussed with him the matters related to the medical treatment of Muhammad Sultan, undergoing imprisonment in Model Town case who suffers from a brain tumor and has been advised to be shifted to Jinnah postgraduate medical college Karachi for major surgery by the doctors.

Khurram Nawaz Gandpaur told the Governor Punjab that the health condition of Muhammad Sultan continues to deteriorate due to unnecessary delay in his transportation to Karachi. He said no more delay should be done and he should be immediately shifted to Karachi hospital. The Governor got information from IG Prisons and Home Office in this regard and directed that the process of shifting should be completed immediately.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also met with IG Prisons and Additional Secretary Home Office in connection with the pending treatment. Speaking about the matter, later on, he said Muhammad Sultan had his initial treatment in Multan about 45 days ago and the doctors advised to shift him to Karachi due to the availability of insufficient facilities. He said precious time is being lost in the name of completion of documentation. He said he met the Punjab Governor to draw the attention of the government to the critical health issue of Muhammad Sultan. He said the Governor has assured that no more delay will be tolerated in sending him to Karachi.
