World-renowned calligrapher Ashraf Heera joins MYL

Ashraf Heera, the young internationally known calligrapher who won many laurels for the country and introduced innovation in calligraphy, visited the central secretariat of MQI and met with Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, MYL president. On his arrival, Mazhar Ali welcomed the guest and paid him rich tributes for making a mark in the craft of calligraphy. He said that Heera is held in high esteem in the world due to his mastery of the craft.

Ashraf Heera visited the directorates of MQI including library, Gosha-e-Durood, FMRI, Internet Bureau, Minhaj Welfare Foundation, and E-learning. He joined Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League on th occasion. He also called on MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Jawwad Hamid, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Sohail Ahmad Raza and others. The MQI leaders congratulated him on winning a calligraphy competition in Turkey and said that he brought laurels and prestige to the country.

While speaking on the occasion, Ashraf Heera said that he was greatly impressed by the services and contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that Dr Qadri has been a great ambassador of Pakistan and Islam. He said that the whole world pays rich tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for his role in promoting the cause of peace, dialogue and interfaith harmony. He said that the youth should work with MYL to promote the Islamic message of love and human welfare.

Ashraf Heera said that the Islamic countries should give due importance to the art of calligraphy and said that one way of doing that is to include it in curriculum as a subject so that coming generations can learn this unique and important art.

MYL Qasim Mansoor Awan, Muhammad Zeeshan, and Muhammad Qaiser Mahboob were also present on the occasion.
